Palm trees are known for their ability to preserve underground water and improve the structural stability of water bodies like ponds and lakes. In order to preserve the water bodies in Theni District, we started a District-Wide Palm Tree Plantation Event in the year 2019 which aims to cover every water body in the villages of the Theni district.
With support from various organizations such as Theni Rural Upliftment Social Trust and several volunteers, we have successfully planted more than 3,00,000 Palm Tree Seeds in Water bodies all over the district till now.
